When we moved Lewis into the old toy room/home office we didn’t really do much in the way of redecorating apart from adding brick effect wallpaper which Lewis chose for a feature wall and moved his furniture in. To me it never felt right. It was never finished off with the little accessories it needed mostly because I was never a lover of the wallpaper. so for his birthday this year we decided to redecorate his bedroom as part of his birthday present. As he is getting that little bit older and being the only boy in the house he needs to have his own little space, a place where he can come home after school and do his homework, play, relax and sleep without any of his sisters annoying him. I wanted a room that suited his age but would also still be suitable for him in 2/3 years time.
We used Johnstones white paint on 3 of the walls and Dulux natural slate on the other, both were purchased in Homebase.
We kept the bed, drawers, wardrobe and kallax unit with grey boxes he had in his room from ikea
The mini light box was from here.
The clock and empire state building were both from house of fraser a few years ago.
The prints Mr Dempster made up and had printed.
The bedding is from here.
The canvas bag and banner were from next last year.
To finish the room I am just waiting for some grey curtains to come back in stock.
I am so happy with how the room looks now, so is Lewis. He now spends most of his afternoons and evening in there playing happily on his Playstation or with his toys. It is now a room that can easily be changed to suit his age as he grows up a little more.
